The Spirit of Life...

Welcome Brothers and Sisters

Our temples (our bodies) are filled with spirit.  It is the spirit of life that is GOD.  We would not exist without this.  GOD is spirit.  He manifests HIS spirit thru HIS creations.  All living life exists because HE exists.  Living life is not just happenstance.  It has purpose and direction.  GOD is GOOD and all living life is created in HIS GOOD with a purpose and direction of GOOD.  As GOD is only GOOD so all living life can only exist as long as its purpose and direction are in one accord with HIS spirit.

GOD reveals HIS spirit to us thru HIS Word.  HE shows us HIS spirit in a physical manifestation has our Lord JESUS CHRIST. 

Job 33:4

The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

Romans 8:10

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

 

2Cor 3:6

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

 

Gal 6:8

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

 

Rev 2:7

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

 

Rev 22:17

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

 

These scriptures are some examples of what our spirit is.  It does reside in a physical body of flesh.  The flesh is also a spiritual condition which battles with the spirit.  Our desires should be of GOOD and only GOOD,  for all living life.  Eternal existence will only be,  if this spirit of life has purpose and direction in one accord with our creator GOD.  GOD is eternal and all HIS GOOD creation in one accord with this spirit will also be eternally growing and spreading HIS GOOD thru out HIS universe.

Anything that is not of this GOOD purpose and direction will only strive for a short time.  It will not survive in the long run. If it is not of GOOD it will cease to exist.  It always destroys itself, for it is corrupt and tries to infect all it comes near to.  The physical flesh (our mind/the world) can be overcome with these desires of short term pleasures which are not of GOOD (sin).  This is why our LORD JESUS CHRIST warns us so much in HIS Word about overcoming these desires and to take captive our thoughts and our tongue.

 

Pro 15:4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

 

This is why our LORD JESUS CHRIST physically came to earth, to show us we CAN overcome these desires which are not of the GOOD that is GOD,  as HE did.  The covenant of GOD (ten commandments)  shows us the GOOD that is GOD.  They give us the purpose and direction to conduct ourselves to be able to live in GOODness (GODliness) eternally.

JESUS came to set the captives free.  The captives are you and me,  all the world.  We have been under the law and the bondage of this world view (Egypt)  JESUS showed us by HIS walk what freedom is.  HE showed us what this gift of spirit and soul can be when in one accord with its creator.
JESUS spoke of the faith of a mustard seed, even with that small amount of real faith we could move mountains.  When the woman with a blood issue twelve years knew (had faith) that if she could just touch HIS garment she would be made whole...she was.

Mark 5:25-34

And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 

For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 

And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. 

And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 

And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?  

And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 

But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 

And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

 

Luke 6:19

And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

 

2Peter 1:3

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

 

2Peter 1:5

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

 

Phi 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

 

We are what we eat.  Be very selective about who or what is coming and going out of your mouth.

You as a creation of LORD JESUS CHRIST have HIS Spirit of Life within you.  FEED IT and the rest is HIStory.

Choices...

Col 1:16-17

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

 

When I read this two words really jumped out at me.  Principalities and consist. 

 

Eph 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

In both these verses principalities means beginning or origin, that by which anything begins to be, the origin, the active cause,  the first place, principality, rule, magistracy of angels and demons.

Consist means:  to place together, to set in the same place,to bring or band together, to stand with (or near) to set one with another, to put together by way of composition or combination, to teach by combining and comparing, to put together, unite parts into one whole, to be composed of, consist.

First I thought why would the LORD use the word consist instead of exist?  Knowing that every word of the LORD is purposed I looked it up.  It made me realize that our very being consists of HIM.  Of course we know this, but do we really??  I guess it made me pause a lot and really think about this.
By HIM are we.  Everything, all the ingredients of us are by HIM.  If you make a cake and leave out the eggs or the flour what do you have?  Oh how wonderful is our LORD.

Psa 139:14

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

 

Pro 16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil

 

Isa 45:7

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

 

What it all boils down to is in the beginning Adam and Eve chose to be disobedient to GOD.  For this choice and since that day we are all exposed to the good and the evil.  We became knowledgeable about the duality of existence.  GOD's purpose for us is to bring that duality into one accord with HIM of whom we consist.  Pure goodness and light.

We have freewill with our gift of life and freedom to choose what we will do with this gift.

Scripture is full of the choices of man thru out time and the consequences of those choices.

GOD is all good and positive and ever moving in that direction.  We can realize this if we choose to.  Or we can choose to ignore that of which we consist and not care about the ever part of our very existence and deal with those consequences.  Every action has a reaction, every cause has effect.  No way around that one folks.  Use your actions and your causes for GOOD and our GOD of whom we consist of will become stronger within you and you will become of one accord with HIS purposes for you.

 

As we grow closer to HIS purpose within us I find HIM in my thoughts all the day long.  I become more aware of my thoughts and when a thought enters my mind that is not of HIM by HIS WORD I know it immediately.  I feel it in my spirit and know this is not of the goodness which is GOD.  Becoming aware of our own selves, our thoughts and actions is most important.

I realize my desire is to be like JESUS.  In everything HE did was displayed the purpose and beauty of existence.  The goodness and love in all things.  To care and nurture our brothers and sisters.  To bring light into all creation.

 

Trials and tribulations abound in this world of darkness also.  These are the consequences of our choices thru out time.  We are witnessing the results of choices made that are not of GOD.

Yes GOD created all things, but HE does not partake of evil.  We are not to partake of it either.

 

Job 28:28

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

 

Job 30:26 When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness

 

The darkness does not want you to seek the light.  It will do anything it is allowed to do to stop you from your salvation.  It wants your soul condemned as its existence is condemned.  We have hope my friends.  As long as we live and breath there is hope for our salvation.  Praise Almighty GOD for giving us the time to realize these things.

 

Psa 5:4

For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

 

Psa 26:5

I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

 

Psa 121:7

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

 

Matt 12:34

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

 

Luke 6:22 

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

 

Luke 6:35

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

 

Love our brethren

 

1John 3:14

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

 

1John 4:21

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

 

This world we live in now is the accumulation of all the choices of man thru out the life of earth.  We can see the effects of these choices before us.  Think about that and lets make a choice to serve GOD of whom we consist and the goodness HE is.  Will you answer HIS call??

 

Deu 30:19

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

 

Jos 24:15

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
