The heart is the very core of our being. Our hearts are truly who we are. The thoughts of our hearts, did we ever stop to think about this? Our heart thinks??
Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Pro 6:18
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
Jer 7:24
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
Our heart is the inner man, our will, our soul, our understanding. It is our mind, knowledge, thinking, reflection, and memory. It is our inclination, resolution, determination (of will). It is our conscience, our moral character. It is the seat of our emotions and passions. A seat of courage and appetites.
Our heart is the central point of our blood and the seat of life. Our hearts are filled with confidence, contempt, joy, sorrow, contrition, bitterness and despair. Our hearts can become as stone and hard, rebellious, uncircumcised, stubborn and inflexible.
All these things are thoughts of our hearts.
Jer 13:10
This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.
Rom 1:21
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
2Cor 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
This is why Jesus tells us to take captive our thoughts always. If we keep GOD's word fully in our hearts at all times there would be no room for vain imaginations to creep in.
GOD's Word is the seven spirits that surround HIS throne. Wisdom and understanding, knowledge and fear of the Lord, counsel and might, Holiness, Truth, Grace and Life. These are the things that should fill our hearts and leave no room for anything else. When we abide in these things of Goodness which is JESUS we produce the fruits of the Spirit.
These fruits are Love, Joy and Peace of which is our relationship to GOD that we may pass these on to our brothers. Longsuffering (patience), Kindness (Gentleness), and Goodness of which is our relationship with our brothers. Faith, Meekness (Humbleness) and Temperance (Self-control, one who masters his desires and passions) of which is our relationship with ourselves.
2Peter 1-11
Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

If our hearts are pure in GOD, HIS GOODNESS will fill us and we will be in one accord with HIM.
2Sam 22:21-28
The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.
I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.
Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.
With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, and with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.
With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury.
And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.
Job 8:6
If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
Psa 12:6
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Pro 30:5
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Pro 30:12
There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
We ought to be very humble before our LORD. Some of us feel we are righteous and pure before our LORD. But what is the measuring stick? Only our LORD JESUS will be the judge. We will have a face to face.
Mat 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
1Tim 5:22
Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
Titus 1:15
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
Jas 3:17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Rev 22:1
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
The Heart... An amazing living beautiful creation in GOD. Given to us to nurture and treasure and share with all life. This world is beautiful beyond our comprehension and we fill it with the GOODNESS that is within us. The Spirit of Life and Love is all powerful. Let's spread it EVERYWHERE!!
