Where are the nine?

Hello Brothers and Sisters...

Luke 17:12   And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
Luke 17:13   And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
Luke 17:14   And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
Luke 17:15   And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
Luke 17:16   And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
Luke 17:17   And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
Luke 17:18   There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
Luke 17:19   And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

But where are the nine?  Being healed of leprosy and giving nothing for the blessing, after which not even a thanks let alone heartfelt gratitude for being made whole by Jesus.  They had not within them anything but take........... not a moment of give, not even for what they had just received by Grace.  One out of ten men was grateful for the greatest gift any of them had ever received.

I suspect the other nine were lepers again before they even made it to show themselves to the priest.

This to me is like the resurrection of Jesus our LORD in a way.  These men were basically dead, they had no life and what they did have was miserable in every way.  They all knew who Jesus was, they all called to him for healing and had the faith that they would be healed and made whole.  He didn't even touch them He just spoke to them and they were healed.

What would you do if you were given the gift of life by a Word??

Knowing your heart and spirit was filled with death and the infection of sin and no cure, no way to purge this filth from your soul.  Then you hear of Jesus of Nazareth and how Truth is in Him and He speaks words of life to all He encounters.  His life is an open book for all to see.  Filled with wonders that none have heard or seen.  Many had been taught by the religious leaders of the time of the miraculous things God had done for His people of which there were very many.  But this man spoke of the importance of following the Law which in those days was the Ten Commandments and only the Ten Commandments.  They knew that the remaining 603 judgments were to be carried out for the breaking of the Law.  This man spoke of having mercy and not sacrifice.  He did not want the killing of any more of His innocent creatures for man's not obeying the Law.  The religious leaders had emphasized the need to continually kill these creatures to atone for their sins instead of teaching the people to focus on the Law and obey.  If they obeyed there is no sin.  No more innocent creatures had to die at the hands of man to atone for his own sin.

This man spoke of loving each other and helping each other.  Looking out for those less fortunate and the widows and the sick.  To see to the needs of one another and teach them to walk in this covenant of good which is the Law.  This covenant which is for our good and if we walk in it...ALL WILL BE WELL.  All will live and prosper together in righteousness and truth.

This man not only spoke but acted in this covenant of good.  He walked all around the land and among the brethren.  He fed the people wherever He went not only with miraculous acts of turning water into wine, 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish to feed 5000 people with twelve baskets left over, also 7 loaves of bread and afew fish to feed 4000 people with seven baskets left over............hmmmmmmm
I wonder if the twelve baskets left over and the seven baskets left over have anything to do with
the Twelve Tribes of Israel and the Seven Churches.  God's Word is perfect in every way.
Anyway He did feed literally many others and most importantly fed them living waters so if they would take of and drink they would never thirst again......ever.

John 4:9-10   Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
John 4:14   But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Matthew 25:34-40   Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

This man healed us all if only we would accept it.  To accept means to receive and believe.  To believe means to live and love it with all your being.  The problem is that many, many....most do not know that He has healed us.  He has done it.........It is finished

Matthew 13:15   For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Luke 4:18-21   The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Hosea 11:3   I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.

This man not only physically healed relentlessly.......

Matthew 8:16-17   When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
Matthew 12:15   But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

This man healed the spirit .......

Luke 6:18-19   And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.
And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

This man fulfilled the covenant of good in every way.  His very life from birth to death and even after death.  He is the covenant of good, He is the rod...

Isaiah 11:1-4   And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
Revelation 12:5   And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

This man is God in the flesh, God in His visit to His children.  A Special body prepared to hold the Spirit of God.  To walk among His children and show them the Way of Righteousness and Truth.  To show them of living the covenant of good and its results of eternal life. The resurrection of Our LORD Jesus shows us the results of this choice of life. Our LORD God saying to gather on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel,  this is the Grace of our LORD GOD.

Ezekiel 39:17   And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.

Jesus revealed to us in the Gospel to be of good cheer for He has overcome the world.  He has shown us that we can obey the covenant of good and live.  No we can never be as pure as He is but we can live His Law.  This is what it means to follow Him in Truth.
John 16:33   These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
1 John 4:4   Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Job 36:11-12   If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
Acts 5:29   Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Romans 6:16-17   Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

This doctrine is the Law of GOD,  the Covenant of Good, the Ten Commandments.  This Law is eternal and by and for All Things thru out All Creation.

This Jesus the Christ............His sacrifice on the Cross is a most priceless selfless gift of Grace for all the sin we have had in our lives.  If we look upon this sin for real and repent for real before our Father and ask forgiveness He will gladly give it to you.  The key is to then look upon His life and all that it encompasses as we have discussed only some of it.  It means to feel in your heart as He feels in His heart,  all these things he willingly did for us, not because he had to,  because he wanted to. He did it for the few that would truly follow Him.  Many are called,  Few are chosen.  The life of our Jesus the Christ is our teacher and our example.  He is our Savior...........We are the sowers

Because at the end of the day the Lord GOD (Father) will gather the one out of ten from the four corners of the earth and heaven with His power the LORD God ( Jesus the Christ, the stretched out arm, the right hand) and leave the nine to their own devices.

Matthew 24:31   And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

I pray to our Father in Heaven that your choice is not in the nine that are lost...

Be Blessed...

No Greater Love...

Hello Brothers and Sisters...

He ain't heavy Father.............He's my Brother

This phrase originated over 100 years ago.  A girl of about 12 years was carrying her brother of about of about 9 years.  A man saw her walking with him and struggling some and offered to help her and she looked up to him and said.........He ain't heavy...........He's m' brother.

If only we could have this heart for our brothers.  The welfare of this little girls brother was all her concern.  She wasn't worried or complaining about the work or the sacrifice made to make sure he made it.  She carried his burden with love and it wasn't even a question in her heart what she would do.  She just did it because it was good and right.

John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Jesus spoke these words to us.  Yes the surface context of these words is the literal dying of your physical vessel for the life of a friend.  But there is so much more.  Sacrificial love is all encompassing.  Paul says it very well....

Gal 5:14
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Matthew had abit more to add to this:

Matthew 5:43   Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

  Matthew 5:44   But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

You see to love them that love you is easy.  To love them that hate you is a sacrifice.

Matthew 12:24   And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

2 Timothy 3 1-5
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Lovers of self is the rage.  Self this and self that.  It is the nature of our flesh to love ourselves first.  I believe this is not what our Father wants.  This is far from the example He set for us as He walked among us.  He gave all of Himself for us.  He did not put Himself first, the needs of all others He served first.

Eph 5:2
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

Jesus was hated of by many and loved by many more.  He died for all, every single one.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

So what is a friend??  We have friends to make us feel better.  They adore us and make us laugh and we have fun with them.  If we don't have fun with them we tend not to hang out with them.  They feed our ego and make us feel good. Social media is full of friends, the more likes you have the more important you feel.  Again its all about self.

Jesus said:

John 15:14-15   Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.  Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Some might suggest that this speaks of conditional love.  That if we don't walk his commandments we will not be His friend.  Actually this is totally sacrificial love for us.  The good of the 10 Commandments is not for Him but for us, for our own good.  If we do not have the goodness within us and walk it then we slowly die.  You see only pure good can survive eternal.  Sin is chaos, confusion and death,  maybe not immediately but like yeast it will multiply until all is infected and eventually will die and take all it has infected with it.

Thru the Holy Bible (KJV) our Father has made known to us all that is needed for eternal life.  If there is no desire to learn and practice these things in this life there will be no desire to do so in the next. Your same Spirit is you eternally.  If we do not invest ourselves in that which is God's Good then we are invested in that which is not God's Good.  We do in fact reap what we sow.  What is bound on earth will also be bound in heaven.

Matt 18:18
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

James 2:23
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Solomon had afew things to say about friends in Proverbs...

Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.
A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

And my favorite...
He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend.

The gift of life is most valuable thing we have.  To lay it down is to put yourself alittle lower than your brother.  To help him in anyway you can to help him to gain eternal life.  To share with him the goodness that our Father has bestowed upon you both in the physical and the spiritual.
Jesus did this for his friends and his enemies.  He did this for all that we might know that we can overcome sin and be resurrected unto eternal life.  He went way beyond what He is asking from us.
The word Joy explains in itself how to attain real Joy.  Jesus first.......Others second........Yourself last.

Hebrews 2:9
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Luke 9:24
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

John 10:17
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

1Peter 3:18
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

This scripture tells us that it is not a man dying for man but GOD dying for man.

Come out of her my people, come out of the darkness and into the light which is our LORD Jesus!!!

Luke 11: 33-36
No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

Romans 13:10
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Be Blessed and much Love!!!

Pearls of Great Price.........

Hello Brothers and Sisters...

Matthew 13:45-46
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

This is a beautiful scripture describing our lives and the process thereof.  The kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man which is our LORD JESUS CHRIST.  It is HE who seeks after us, the goodly pearls.

How is a pearl formed?  Here is this oyster growing inside this heavy duty protective shell.
Then something foreign invades this body whether it be a piece of dirt or a grain of sand.  This foreign particle can be likened to sin in our lives which invades our hearts, souls and minds.
Then as the beautiful design of our Father takes hold in the physical as well as the spiritual the oyster begins to coat this foreign invader with what is called the mother of pearl.  Through a very long process and very slowly the protective coat grows thicker and thicker with this most beautiful garment.

GOD in His infinite wisdom has provided us with this garment.  The invasion of sin into the world and our own lives and all around us has separated us from the Good and Righteousness that is GOD, should we choose to partake of it.  It has invaded this earth so much now that the world is calling evil good and good evil.  The only set standard of Good is that of our Creator and Father.  The Good covenant put forth by His own finger for us to follow for our own good, The Ten Commandments.

Layer by layer throughout our lives this protective garment grows stronger should we choose to accept and follow the Good from which it is produced. Our work is to make this garment white and spotless just like a pearl and to help each other in this journey.  One thin layer at a time slowly surrounds us as we step forward into HIS Goodness and realize how beautiful and perfect all HIS creation is.

You see we are the pearls and a great price has been paid for us.  We didn't pay the price HE did for us out of love.  HE gave everything He had.....He left his place to come to this sinful place,  He created a very special body for Him to inhabit, He walked among his creation full of sin, He taught and healed in the face of abuse and rejection by His very own children.  He showed us despite ourselves the example of living the fulfillment of His Good Covenant for our own good.  He showed us His Glory of which some has been imparted unto to us to share.  That regardless of what man has taught us we can or cannot do,  We can live in His Goodness and the Freedom we attain in this Truth is eternal.

Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

When He had found ONE pearl He sold everything He had to buy it.  This is what our LORD JESUS has done for us.  You and I are that ONE pearl.  Thank you Father for your mercy and grace!!!

Jesus Christ our LORD bought us, the garment is His life and blood.  If we accept and live in it, a Beautiful Pearl of great price is born.

Be Blessed!!!

Do you sleep well?

Brothers and Sisters

Psalms 3:5   I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

David writes this when he was fleeing from his son Absalam.  He was fleeing for his life again for Absalam was looking to take over as king.  How could David sleep well?

David knew the LORD.  He knew the LORD and he knew it is only the LORD that sustains us.  There is no other in all the universe, in all creation, in all that man's mind can bring forth that can sustain life.

Psalms 3:3   But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

Psalms 3:4   I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill Selah.

In fleeing from all the trouble and those rising up against him David knew it was the LORD's glory not his own that would sustain him.  He knew he had no glory of himself.

Interesting that he cried unto the LORD and he knew the LORD heard him out of his holy mountain which is Jerusalem.  Why would David state that the LORD heard him out of his holy mountain instead of saying the LORD heard him from heaven.  David knew the LORD would come out of Jerusalem.  There are examples of the people crying out to the LORD and HIM hearing them from heaven which would be logical.

 Neh 9:28

But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies;

David did not sacrifice innocent creatures as did the religious leaders of his time.  David knew that forgiveness for sin came directly from GOD and only from GOD.

David knew that when he sinned it was a sin against GOD and GOD only.

Psalms 51:1   Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Psalms 51:2   Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

Psalms 51:3   For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Psalms 51:4   Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

David knew that GOD wants from us real truth in our hearts and in return GOD will make us to understand.  David asks GOD to purge him with hyssop and he would be clean,

did you know that hyssop was used for purifying,  the Hebrews were instructed to use Hyssop dipped in the blood of the lamb to paint their doorposts the night the angel of death came to take all the firstborn in the Exodus.

Psalms 51:6   Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Psalms 51:7   Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

David knew that only GOD can heal our brokenness before Him.  Only GOD can renew our spirits with joy and gladness.

Psalms 51:8   Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

Psalms 51:9   Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

Psalms 51:10   Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Psalms 51:11   Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Psalms 51:12   Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit
.

So you see Scripture is perfect and GOD foretold long before HE physically came to this earth, HIS perfect plan of salvation for those who would hear and honor.  Jesus Christ our LORD God is GOD.  HE is the power of our GOD sent forth since the beginning.

Take heed my brothers and sisters!!!

 Be Blessed!!!

Our Father's Garden...

Hello Brothers and Sisters

Genesis 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

The Lord's most prized possession...being formed by His power and given everything he would need to live eternally in this special place, this place called a garden. One has to believe that this “garden” is much deeper in meaning than soil. Oh yes, it is the soil from which the Lord brought us upon this earth, taught us to follow His will and the very place He was laid in body after His crucifixion. The garden is very important indeed, to our Father of course and in turn important for us to treasure and understand.

Jeremiah 29:5 Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

The Lord instructs us many times through out His word to plant gardens, to be fruitful and to enjoy the goodness He alone made from this earth. He also asks us to be like the garden by doing right by Him and His will which will bring forth good fruits and will bring us closer to Him and each other.

Isaiah 1:28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
1:29 For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.

The Lord also warns against choosing any garden that is not of Him, any wayward walk is where we lay forever without Him.

Luke 13:18 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
13:19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

Wow, just wow… first, to dwell in the Lord describing the breadth of His kingdom and the ways in which He made it, and that He shared that with us...thank you Father. Secondly, again He tells us how important this garden is to Him in that He uses it to describe HIS kingdom?! We are so truly blessed to be His and to be grown from this special place.

John 19:40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
19:41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.
19:42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.

Our Lord's very body was slain and laid to rest in a garden, HIS garden I say, because it is all His. All the earth, all the heavens and all of existence belongs to Him alone, it IS Him, amen!

Clearly our Father holds dear this very sacred place, this “garden” of His. The earth is His garden, the heavens are His garden, we are His garden! He has built this garden from beginning to end and will continue to nurture and tend to all that grow in Him.
How blessed are those that grow from the hand of the Almighty, receive His pruning and who flourish eternally in His everlasting glory.

           Grow your gardens well! Xoxo

Waiting on the Lord...

Hello Brothers and Sisters

Those four words hold all the meaning in the world of you believe them, if you live them and if you trust them.
What does it truly mean to wait on the Lord and why is that simple statement so verily important? It could be interpreted in many ways I suppose; literal span of time waiting for the Lord's return, maybe applying it to our daily life obstacles eg fulfilling our desires, hopes and dreams or even overcoming illness. How about the spiritual facet, having a patience and trust in the Lord and His will.

Psalms 27:14 - Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Psalms 37:34 - Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see [it].

Psalms 40:1 - (To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

Those four words are placed so perfectly in His word to tend to all of the matters listed above. My personal belief is that waiting on the Lord truly breaks down to having faith in the Lord, His will and His word. It is literal time. It is hearing His call and plans for our lives daily. His desire to take care of us as well as building patience, trust, and a desire for His will to be fulfilled not our own.
Waiting on the Lord= Faith on/in the Lord.

One of my favorite verses that tends to waiting on the Lord through faith is that spoken by Paul in Galatians 2:20.

Galatians 2:20 - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Wow....  What a powerful declaration of faith. What a profound realization of the Lord's living AND dying through Jesus Christ for our souls. What a joy in knowing that by the gift of Jesus and by His blood alone we are one with Him. He lives daily in us and we exist only through Him!
That to me is waiting on the Lord. That to me is faith. To walk daily as Christ is in me. His will be done. His plans at work, not my own. It is all He wants for us, to believe. To trust Him in all ways and to have faith in His plan for us.

God Bless !!!

These Simple Things...

Hello Brothers and Sisters

Luke 11:28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Oh how those words are all we need to hear and follow. The Lord gives us all we need in this one scripture but what does it mean to hear the word of God? Is it hearing the words of the bible, is it hearing the Lord speaking to you spiritually? And how do you hear the word of God, how do YOU hear the Lord in your life? I believe the answer to these questions lay in two simple, but all encompassing things, wisdom and understanding…

Proverbs 3:19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

Wow...what a powerful, powerful beginning this wisdom and understanding has, that the Lord founded this very earth in wisdom and He established the heavens in understanding! If these two attributes could be this important to our Father, what place should they have in our lives?
When trying to hear God's word in any capacity, we must start from the beginning as the Lord did, in wisdom and understanding. But what does that mean?? What is wisdom from God's perspective and how does that translate to understanding, especially within our little abilities?

Proverbs 10:28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
Proverbs 11:23 The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

Righteousness. Oh to follow the Lord with all you are and stay in His ways! Yes! This is to be wise according to our Father. To lay down your own will for His that is greater.
The Lord created us, in His perfect ways, to give us a life everlasting. We must trust and be wise to HIS infinite wisdom. We attain this wisdom through reading of His Holy word. And by having faith…

Psalm 101:6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
Exodus 31:3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.

Faith brings understanding of and in the Lord. To be faithful to His will, to depend on His desires for us alone and to put into action the spirit of the Lord given to us in His word, the bible.

So if we read His word and keep it, follow it and let it be our guide, the Lord bestows His wisdom upon us, through us. And if we truly believe, through faith, in His plan, we receive His understanding!

Hearing the word of God, keeping it, honoring it is not only receiving our Lord through reading His word but by truly applying it in our lives as our number one. Through reading and sharing in His plan we grow spiritually, becoming one with Him. Through walking in that growth, with faith and hope in Him as our light, we gain understanding and a thankful heart for His amazing, amazing plan!

So, be righteous in the Lord, may your wisdom and understanding in Him never cease to grow and listen to His word and keep it always!

Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
